5TPH Coffee Bean Cleaning Line Delivered to Vietnam

FCJ has completed the loading of a complete 5TPH coffee bean cleaning line for a customer in Vietnam. The equipment has left our workshop in Henan, fully crated and container-packed, and is now on its way to the port for ocean freight to the customer's processing site.

This is a fully integrated cleaning, grading and polishing solution for green coffee beans — not a single machine, but a line in which every stage removes a different class of impurity.

What the 5TPH Line Includes

The line is rated at 5 tons per hour and configured for green coffee bean processing. Each stage addresses a specific defect class:

  • Pre-cleaning — removes straw, leaves and large foreign materials through initial screening
  • Screening cleaning — a vibration cleaner and rotary pre-cleaner separate impurities by particle size
  • Stone removing — the destoner removes stones and heavy impurities by density difference, protecting downstream equipment
  • Magnetic separation — removes metal contaminants to ensure safe operation
  • Gravity separation — separates beans by specific gravity to improve uniformity and cup consistency
  • Color sorting — optical sorting detects and removes discoloured, damaged and defective beans
  • Polishing — removes surface dust and improves bean appearance and market value

For a buyer, the practical value of a staged line like this is that each defect type is handled by the stage designed for it, rather than being left to manual picking. Destoning protects the downstream machines from stone damage; magnetic separation protects both the equipment and the final product from metal contamination; and color sorting replaces hand-picking labour, which is where most coffee processors lose both time and consistency.

Packing and Container Loading

Before dispatch, the line was packed in plywood cases with moisture protection, and the components were fixed inside the container with stretch film and strapping to limit movement during the sea voyage. Photos from the loading process are shown below.

Container packing for a line of this size is a logistics exercise in itself: the larger fabricated units and the smaller components have to be sequenced so that nothing shifts during transit and everything can be unloaded at the destination in a workable order.

Why Vietnam Is a Growing Market for Coffee Processing Equipment

Vietnam is the world's second-largest coffee producer and the leading supplier of Robusta beans, with Robusta accounting for the overwhelming majority of its crop. Export volumes have been rising sharply — according to industry reports, Vietnam exported 224,308 tonnes of coffee in January 2026, a year-on-year increase of 56.4%.

That volume growth has a direct equipment consequence. Coffee bought and sold at scale is judged on uniformity and defect count, and export buyers increasingly specify limits on stones, black beans and foreign matter. Cleaning, destoning and color sorting are no longer optional steps for processors who want to hold their grade — which is why demand for lines in this capacity range continues to grow in Vietnam.

What Happens Next

The line is now in transit. On arrival, FCJ will provide installation guidance together with commissioning support and operator training, and will continue to supply spare parts for the equipment. Installation and commissioning are arranged with the customer's site schedule, and the civil and utility preparation on site is agreed in advance so that the equipment can be commissioned as soon as it reaches the factory.
